CNN’s Dana Bash has a new book out that she was hawking at a Washington, D.C. bookstore, Politics and Prose. The name of the book is “America’s Deadliest Election: The Cautionary Tale of the Most Violent Election in American History”” about the election of 1872.
But as the event was underway, a protester with a mask on suddenly started screaming right at her from the front row, yelling that she was complicit in genocide. The woman yelled that Bash should be charged and be behind bars, saying ominously, “We know who you are.”

No, masked lady, locking up terrorists who attack your country isn’t the same as concentration camps or death camps. She ridiculously claimed Bash was “killing people” because Bash wasn’t reporting what she would have liked her to report. Bash asked her to “take off her mask.” If the masked lady believes what she’s saying why not stand by it?
Take the mask off, let people see you in the light of day. She didn’t and she was escorted out by the police, still screaming, yelling “Bloody Bash!”
Then another one popped up and claimed Bash was taking “millions” from “Zionists” and AIPAC even though she was “living in that house all alone,” making sure she knew they knew where she lived. Police came to escort that lady out as well.
Jake Tapper called them out not only for this but for protesting her at her home, and he said it was antisemitism.
These protesters target Dana at her home and this event because she’s Jewish. There is nothing about her coverage of the Israel-Hamas war that is different from most other news coverage, covering both Jewish/Israeli and Palestinian pain.

Who do these characters think they are convincing when they behave this way? Screaming like banshees doesn’t convince anyone to their side. It only makes them look worse.
But here’s the thing. Democrats have helped to encourage radical protest over time. Media wasn’t particularly upset or calling out the radicals when folks like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) were encouraging people to confront Trump officials. They haven’t really called out Kamala Harris for promoting the Minnesota bail fund for people arrested during the BLM riots in 2020.
Now that attitude is coming back to bite the liberal media in the posterior too.
Democrats have specifically coddled the Gaza protesters with people like Joe Biden saying at the DNC “they have a point” and Tim Walz just a couple of days ago claiming the protesters were “speaking out for all the right reasons.” All for base political reasons, to help themselves with the left in the election.
But even with that, the Democrats still get this behavior.

The responses to Tapper were instructive. The leftists continued to yell at him and accuse him of genocide as well. Meanwhile the folks on the right reminded him of what I just said about the Democrats coddling such behavior.

Bash did not put Harris or Walz on the spot on the question during their interview with her.
