Model tested: Article Lubek Outdoor Low Corner Sectional
The details: Article’s been in the direct-to-consumer furniture business since 2013 with the goal of making high-quality pieces accessible to customers at affordable price points. In fact, it’d be easy to outfit your entire home in the brand’s stylishly designed furniture and home decor options (many of which we have tested and reviewed)—from sofas to lounge chairs, full dining sets, bedroom furnishings, and more. The only catch? Unlike traditional retailers, the Canadian brand’s offerings are only available to shop online, meaning no showrooms or storefronts to assess options in-person before you buy.
Before delivery
How much does it cost? Are there payment plans available?
The corner sectional costs $2,399 and the left/right sectional version will run you $1,599. Affirm financing is available for as low as $200 or $134 per month, depending on the size.
What are the upholstery or customization options? Did you choose any?
You can choose the corner sectional (what I tested) which is extended on both sides, or a left or right sectional configuration, which offers the chaise in one direction. They also offer two cushion color options: beach sand (tested) and slate gray.
What is the lead time for customization, manufacturing, and delivery?
In our experience, it took approximately 30 days to get the couch from ordering to our front door.
Delivery + assembly
What was the delivery process like?
The Article outdoor sofa came with white-glove delivery and assembly, so it couldn’t have been easier from my perspective.
What was the assembly process like? How long did it take and how many people?
The two delivery drivers assembled the sofa in less than half an hour. Each wing of the sofa is assembled separately, and then attached to each other at the corner.
